Yellow Handloom Linen Saree with Paithani Parrot Pallu

A yellow handloom linen saree with a Paithani pallu. Small woven buttas in white, charcoal, green, orange and pink are scattered across the soft yellow body, and a gold border edged in cream runs along the side.

The pallu is where it opens up. On a pale gold tissue ground with a gentle sheen, parrots in blue and deep pink sit on a charcoal branch, among green leaves and tulip-like flowers in pink and orange. The motifs are woven into the fabric by hand on the loom, not printed, so their edges have the slightly stepped look of a handwoven design. The pallu ends in a knotted cream fringe with maroon and yellow tassels.

Linen is light and breathable, and it gets softer with every wash, which makes this an easy saree for long, warm days and festive afternoons alike. It comes with a running blouse piece. Pair it with the running blouse, or pick up a colour from the pallu with a maroon, blue or green blouse.
