A handloom saree with a dark wine body and a grey pallu, woven with small off-white motifs. The motifs are worked into the cloth on the loom, not printed on top, so they show on the reverse side as well. A running blouse comes attached.

The Weave
This saree is handloom — woven by hand, on a loom, by an artisan. Not a power loom. We say it plainly, because that is what our customers most want to know.
Hand weaving leaves its marks. A thicker thread here, a butta that sits slightly apart from the next. Look closely and you will find them. They are the signature of the loom, not faults in the cloth.
How to Style It
Dark wine is a colour with weight to it. The grey pallu calms it down, so the saree moves easily between a working day and a small evening function.
Let the blouse bring the light. An off-white or soft pastel blouse makes the wine glow; a grey one keeps the whole look tonal and quiet. Oxidised silver jewellery suits it well.
Care
Hand wash in cold to lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Wash it on its own for the first few washes — dark wine can release a little dye early on. No bleach or harsh chemicals. Do not wring or twist. Line dry in the shade, away from direct sun. Warm iron only.
Keep it folded in a dry place, wrapped in white cotton cloth, and refold it along new lines now and then. Cared for this way, a handloom saree stays with you for years.
Questions
What comes in the package?
One wine and grey handloom saree, 6.2 metres long and 1.2 metres wide, with the running blouse attached. The blouse portion is part of the 6.2 metres.
Do I need to buy a blouse separately?
No. A running blouse is attached to the saree. It is unstitched, so your tailor cuts it off and stitches it to your size.
Is the wine and grey saree genuinely handloom?
Yes. It is woven by hand on a loom, not on a power loom.
Are the buttas woven in?
Yes. The motifs are woven into the fabric, not printed, which is why they are visible on the reverse side too.
Is the wine closer to purple or maroon?
It is a dark wine — deeper than purple, cooler than maroon. The pallu is grey with off-white motifs. Screens show dark colours differently, so a video call is the surest way to see it before you buy.
Are small weave irregularities a defect?
No. Slight variations in texture and motif placement come from the saree being woven by hand, and are natural to handloom.
Will the wine colour bleed?
It may release a little dye in the first few washes, as dark colours do. Wash it separately at first and it settles.
What is the best way to wash it?
Hand wash in cold to lukewarm water with a mild detergent, no bleach. Do not wring. Line dry in the shade and use a warm iron only.
Can I see this saree live before I order?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp at 7353931190 and we will show it to you on a video call, in daylight.
Do you ship to my city?
We ship to all pin codes in India. Shipping is free on prepaid orders. COD is available with a ₹150 handling charge.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are usually dispatched within one working day. Delivery then takes two to three days to metro cities and five to seven to non-metro.
What is your return and exchange policy?
You can return it within five days of receiving it, with an unedited video of the parcel being opened from start to finish. Exchanges are accepted within three days, in original condition and packaging. Return shipping is arranged at your end.
