Fabric & Weave

Cotton silk combines cotton with silk, so the purple body carries a soft sheen. All the gold is woven in gold-coloured thread, not zari.

A woven border with gold-coloured motifs runs along the saree, edged in a dark tone. The turquoise blue pallu is striped in fine gold-coloured lines and closes with a wide gold band and a purple end panel lined in gold, finished with black and gold tassels.
