Off-White Hand-Block Printed Cotton Saree with Indigo Paisley Buttas

An off-white saree in 100% cotton, hand-block printed by artisans in India. Large indigo paisley buttas march in rows across the body, edged by an indigo wave border. The pallu turns deep indigo, with bands of off-white dashes and dots, triangle-edged stripes and a wide panel of flowering vines.

Every motif is pressed by hand with a carved wooden block, so you'll see small variations from print to print — a slight shift in tone, a softened edge. That's the hand at work, not a flaw.

The blouse fabric comes attached — indigo with an off-white basketweave print. Cut it from the saree and have it tailored to your fit.

Fresh and bright, it's made for daytime functions, office days and summer. Oxidised silver suits the indigo.

Care

• Before the first wash, soak in salt water for a few minutes — no more than 10 — to help set the colour.
