Fabric & Weave

Cotton silk mixes cotton with silk, giving the navy body a low, soft sheen. The gold detailing is woven in gold-coloured thread, not zari.

A woven border with gold-coloured motifs runs along the saree, edged in dark brown. The red pallu is lined with fine gold-coloured stripes, then a wide gold band and a navy end panel lined in red and gold, finished with black and gold tassels.

Size

6.24 m long, including a 90 cm red running blouse attached to the saree. 1.2 m wide and about 500 g. Free size.

How to Style It

Navy is the calmest body colour in this series, and the red pallu brings the warmth. The attached red blouse picks up the pallu. A navy blouse keeps it understated enough for a working day. Small gold earrings or a slim chain are enough.

Care

Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent, as navy and red can run. No bleach and no wringing. Line dry in the shade, and iron on warm.
