A navy blue Bhujodi saree, handwoven in Kutch, Gujarat. Small white diamond buttas are scattered across the navy body, with fine white lines running through the weave. Toward the pallu, the saree opens into wide bands of white stripes and dotted lines, with larger star-like motifs woven between them. A white checked border frames it all, and the pallu ends in white tassels on a knotted black fringe.

Bhujodi is the weaving tradition of Bhujodi village near Bhuj, in Kutch. The motifs are not printed or embroidered. Each one is woven in by hand, thread by thread, as the saree takes shape on the loom. That is why the edges of the motifs have the slightly stepped, pixel-like look of the real handloom.

It comes with a running blouse piece. Navy and white is an easy pairing to style: wear it with the running blouse, or try a contrast blouse in red, mustard or white.
