Mustard Yellow Hand-Block Printed Cotton Saree with Bold Sun Motifs and Off-White Pallu

A mustard yellow saree in 100% cotton, hand-block printed by artisans in India. Bold off-white motifs fill the body — chains of rings trailing leaves, fern sprays, starbursts and large round sun medallions, all printed on a generous scale. A ring-and-leaf chain runs along the border. The pallu turns the palette around: a wide off-white panel holding a mustard jaal of stars, petals and scrolls.

Every motif is pressed by hand with a carved wooden block, so you'll see small variations from print to print — a slight shift in tone, a softened edge. That's the hand at work, not a flaw.

It comes with a blouse piece in plain mustard yellow, with the ring-and-leaf border along one edge, ready to be tailored to your fit.

Warm and confident, it's made for haldi, festive mornings and days you want to be noticed. Gold-toned jhumkas or oxidised silver both work.

Care

• Before the first wash, soak in salt water for a few minutes — no more than 10 — to help set the colour.
• The colour may run. Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent, or give it for dry cleaning.
• No bleach. Don't wring. Line dry in shade. Warm iron.
