Fabric & Weave

Cotton silk mixes cotton with silk, which gives the maroon a gentle sheen. Small diamond-shaped buttas are woven across it in gold-coloured thread, not zari.

The wide border is a diamond weave in gold-coloured thread with a darker edge. The pallu crosses a sheer gold band between fine gold lines and ends in black and gold tassels.

Size

6.24 m long, including a 90 cm maroon running blouse attached to the saree. 1.2 m wide and about 500 g. Free size.
