A leaf green Maheshwari-style cotton silk saree with a purple pallu, flower butta all over, and a purple blouse piece, woven on a powerloom. It's inspired by the Maheshwari weave rather than woven in Maheshwar, and we'd rather you hear that from us first.
Fabric & Weave
Cotton silk is cotton blended with silk. It gives the leaf green body a light sheen without the weight of pure silk. Flower buttas are woven across it in gold-coloured thread, not zari.
A fine lattice border in gold-coloured thread runs along the length. The purple pallu carries its own row of flower buttas and meets the green at a gold band lined in purple, finished with black and gold tassels.
Size
6.24 m long, including a 90 cm purple running blouse attached to the saree, with flower buttas on it too. 1.2 m wide and about 500 g. Free size.
How to Style It
Green and purple is an old temple-colour pairing, bright without being loud. The attached purple blouse ties back to the pallu. For a softer look, a leaf green or olive blouse lets the purple stay on the pallu alone. Antique gold jhumkas or a short temple necklace pick up the gold buttas.
Care
Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent, since deep colours like purple can bleed. No bleach and no wringing. Line dry in the shade and iron on warm.
