Indigo Blue Hand-Block Printed Cotton Saree with Swirl Buttas and Pinstripe Pallu

An indigo blue saree in 100% cotton, hand-block printed by artisans in India. Off-white floral sprigs sit over soft sky-blue swirls of dotted arcs, giving the body a gentle sense of movement. A temple border of triangles and drops frames it. The pallu moves from a sky-blue floral vine band into dense off-white pinstripes, finishing in a panel of indigo tree sprays.

Every motif is pressed by hand with a carved wooden block, so you'll see small variations from print to print — a slight shift in tone, a softened edge. That's the hand at work, not a flaw.

The blouse fabric comes attached — indigo with sky-blue dotted swirls and the triangle border. Cut it from the saree and have it tailored to your fit.

Easy for office days, temple visits and daily wear. Oxidised silver or pearls suit it.

Care

• Before the first wash, soak in salt water for a few minutes — no more than 10 — to help set the colour.
