Every motif is stamped by hand with a carved wooden block, one impression at a time. Because of that, you will see small irregularities — a stripe that wavers slightly, a box frame that is a little uneven, a patch where the colour is lighter or deeper. These are the marks of hand printing and natural dyes, not defects, and no two sarees come out exactly the same.
