A coral pink saree with a white temple border and a pale pink pallu, woven on a powerloom in West Bengal. The coral is warm and lively, somewhere between pink and peach. The pallu softens into pale pink, with white jamdani-style motifs stepping across it in zigzag chains over fine white stripes. White temple triangles run along the border. It is 6 metres long, including a running blouse.
We say handloom or powerloom on every saree. This one is powerloom. The white motifs are woven by the loom, not inlaid by hand, and so we call them jamdani-style.
Fabric & Weave
The fabric is sold in the trade as soft Dhakai jamdani. It is light and soft, with a gentle sheen on the coral body. The style comes from the jamdani tradition of Dhaka. This saree was woven in West Bengal, India.

How to Style It
Coral and white is warm, fresh and a little playful. It suits a birthday lunch, a friend's engagement, a college event or a bright day at the office. A deeper coral or rust blouse makes the whole look richer. A teal or turquoise blouse gives a bold, happy contrast. Gold hoops or small jhumkas keep it light. Rose gold suits the coral beautifully too.
Care Instructions
Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. No bleach or harsh chemicals. Wash it on its own the first time, so the coral stays off the white. Do not wring or twist. Line dry in the shade, as warm pinks fade in strong sun. Iron on a warm setting, never hot. Store folded in a white cotton cloth in a dry place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Coral Pink Jamdani-Style Saree handloom?
No. The Coral Pink Jamdani-Style Saree is woven on a powerloom in West Bengal, and the white motifs on its pallu are woven by the loom rather than inlaid by hand. We label every saree as handloom or powerloom.
What fabric is this coral saree?
It is sold in the trade as soft Dhakai jamdani fabric. It is light and soft, with a gentle sheen on the coral body.
Is this a Dhakai jamdani from Bangladesh?
No. The style comes from Dhaka's jamdani tradition, but this saree was woven in West Bengal, India. We call it Dhakai-style for that reason.
Does the Coral Pink Jamdani-Style Saree include a blouse piece?

A deeper coral or rust blouse makes it richer. A teal or turquoise blouse gives a bold contrast. A plain pale pink blouse can make the look flat, so we suggest a stronger colour.
How do I care for the Coral Pink Jamdani-Style Saree?
Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. Wash it on its own the first time, avoid bleach, do not wring, and line dry in the shade so the coral stays bright. Iron on a warm setting.
Is the coral shade accurate in the photo?
We photograph every saree as close to its true colour as we can. Coral sits between pink and peach, so it can look slightly different depending on your screen and lighting.
