A coral pink saree with a teal pallu and a teal temple border, woven on a powerloom in West Bengal. This is the boldest contrast in the series: warm coral against cool teal. The pallu appears shot with pink beneath the teal, so it shifts between grey-teal and rose as it moves. Brighter teal jamdani-style motifs run across it in zigzag chains, and teal temple triangles rise along the border. It is 6 metres long, including a running blouse.
We mark every saree handloom or powerloom. This one is powerloom. The teal motifs are woven by the loom, not inlaid by hand, so we call them jamdani-style.
Fabric & Weave
The fabric is sold in the trade as soft Dhakai jamdani. It is light and soft, with a gentle sheen on the coral body. The style comes from Dhaka's jamdani tradition, and this saree was woven in West Bengal, India.

How to Style It
Coral and teal is a confident pairing that comes alive in the evening. It suits a sangeet, a Deepavali get-together or an evening family function. A teal blouse carries the pallu through the drape. A deep coral blouse keeps the look warm and seamless. Antique gold jewellery suits both colours, and a teal bindi ties it together.
Care Instructions
Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. No bleach or harsh chemicals. Wash it on its own the first time, so the teal and coral stay apart. Do not wring or twist. Line dry in the shade. Iron on a warm setting, never hot. Store folded in a white cotton cloth in a dry place.
