Bottle Green Handloom Linen Saree with Paithani Parrot Pallu

A bottle green handloom linen saree with a Paithani pallu. Small woven buttas in pink, blue, lime, white and gold are scattered across the green body, and a gold border edged in black runs along the side.

The pallu is where it opens up. On a copper tissue ground that catches the light, parrots in blue and pink sit on a golden branch, among green leaves and pink tulip-like flowers. The motifs are woven into the fabric by hand on the loom, not printed, so their edges have the slightly stepped look of a handwoven design. The pallu ends in a knotted black fringe with pink and blue tassels.

Linen is light and breathable, and it gets softer with every wash, which makes this an easy saree for long, warm days and festive afternoons alike. It comes with a running blouse piece. Pair it with the running blouse, or pick up a colour from the pallu with a pink, copper or blue blouse.
