Fabric & Weave

Cotton silk blends cotton with silk, so the black has a low, soft sheen rather than a flat finish. Small diamond-shaped buttas are woven across it in gold-coloured thread, not zari.

A wide diamond-weave border in gold-coloured thread runs the full length. The pallu has a sheer gold band between fine gold lines and ends in black and gold tassels.

Size

6.24 m long, including a 90 cm black running blouse attached to the saree. 1.2 m wide and about 500 g. Free size.

How to Style It
